A step-by-step guide to evaluating SEOBoss during your trial — so you know exactly what to look for and how to judge if it's right for your store.

~15 min to complete
1 real draft in your Shopify admin
Nothing publishes automatically

SEOBoss is a guided workflow for creating structured Shopify blog drafts. It generates title ideas, metadata, a clean draft, and (when appropriate) an FAQ section with schema-ready formatting. Drafts are created for review inside Shopify — nothing is published automatically.

What you'll do in this evaluation

  • Create one set of structured title ideas from a topic
  • Choose a title and review the meta title + description
  • Generate one full draft and open it in Shopify for editing
  • Decide: publish, edit later, or discard

Time: ~15 minutes  ·  Goal: Get one real draft into your Shopify admin and judge if the workflow fits.

Before you start (2 minutes)

  • Pick a topic that matches a real customer question or buying decision.
  • If your store already has published blog posts, run Refresh content index first — this helps SEOBoss avoid duplicates and suggest internal links to posts you already have.

Note: If you have very few (or zero) published posts, internal linking opportunities may be limited at first. That's expected — SEOBoss only links to posts that already exist.

Step-by-step evaluation (10–12 minutes)

Step 01

Quick setup

  • Open SEOBoss in your Shopify admin.
  • Set your niche and tone — you can change these any time.
Step 02

Refresh content index (recommended)

  • Click Refresh content index to pull your currently published blog posts into SEOBoss's site memory.
  • Used to avoid duplication and suggest internal links where relevant.
Step 03

Generate title ideas

  • Enter a topic or keyword — be specific, think of what a buyer would search or ask.
  • Choose a tone.
  • Generate title ideas, then select one that matches what you actually want to publish.
Step 04

Review metadata

  • Review and edit the meta title and meta description if needed.
  • Still draft stage — nothing is live yet.
Step 05

Generate a draft

  • Generate the draft and preview the structure.
  • Open the draft in Shopify (Blog editor) and make any edits you want.
Decision point: Publish it, save it as a draft for later, or delete it — the workflow is designed to keep you in control.

What to look for (the honest checklist)

  • Structure: Clear headings, readable sections, no messy formatting.
  • Editorial control: You can edit everything before publishing.
  • Metadata: Meta title + description are included and editable.
  • FAQs (when used): Questions and answers feel relevant and accurate for your store.
  • Internal links (when used): Links only appear when there's a clear match to existing published posts.

Common questions during evaluation

"Why didn't it add internal links?"

SEOBoss only adds internal links when there's a strong relevance match to posts that already exist on your site. If you have limited content, linking opportunities may be low. Try refreshing the index, or test again after you've published a few posts.

"Can I stop it from publishing?"

SEOBoss does not auto-publish. It creates drafts inside Shopify. You decide what goes live — always.

"Can I remove parts I don't want?"

Yes. You can edit or delete anything in the draft before publishing, including links, FAQs, headings, and metadata.
